We will be meeting in the warehouse and back parking lot. We will be chatting about all things astro. Richard will be here with an astrophotography rig setup and ready to answer all of your questions! We will also be able to help you setup and align your new telescope as well so bring it down and we can help out.
With any luck the clouds will part around 8pm and we can do a little observing on the moon around then.

Our monthly Moonbeam Meetups are a great opportunity to learn to use your scope and to get in some great views of our moon. Feel free to bring your equipment. We’d be happy to answer any questions you have and to help you get it all set up. If you don’t have a telescope, no problem. We’ll have some demo equipment out for you to look through. Let us know if you’d like to join, we like to have a rough idea of how many people will be there so we don’t run short on Timbits.

WHAT: We are setting up telescopes, answering questions, and looking at the Moon!
If you’re a beginner, this is a great opportunity to come out and get some hands on tips on setting up and using a telescope, or using your telescope and smartphone software like Stellarium. If you’re not a beginner it’s a great opportunity to come out and have some fun with other amateur astronomers or to get some help with more advanced questions. If you’re not in the Edmonton area, you can always feel free to send a question in anytime. Our team at Mission Control is always happy to help with whatever Astronomy and Astrophotography questions you have.
