Product Description
Are you a serious amateur astronomer looking for the best and brightest wide-field images of the night sky with binoculars? The Orion 20x80 ED GiantView Binocular will fit that bill!
These binoculars combine a large 80mm aperture with Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass lenses for bright, exceptionally clear, true-color views of the night sky. Not to mention these binoculars work equally well for long distance daytime viewing. All of this in a waterproof body, with BAK-4 prisms, robust mechanical construction, and a solid pier tripod mounting system. And all these features for a very reasonable price.
You'll understand the combination of large aperture and ED lenses the first time you scan the Milky Way & pinpoint stars, with exceptional contrast against a dark background. Fully Multi-Coated surfaces provide the brightest possible images, and with 18mm of eye relief, even eyeglass wearers can view the entire field of view. And these binoculars boast a 3.2° field of view for scanning the skies, or watching distant wildlife.
The sturdy aluminum alloy body with a second hinge between the objective lenses provides a solid, well collimated mechanical system. Glare-threaded and blackened interiors provide even more contrast with less light scatter. The built-in tripod mounting bar attaches securely to a standard photographic tripod (which is strongly recommended), and each binocular comes with lens caps, neck strap and a soft carry bag.
