The TeleVue TV85APO provides stunning 4.4° rich-field because of the combination of apochromatic doublet lens and special low-dispersion glass. This combination enhances observation and makes objects dazzle right before your eyes.
Producing natural stellar and planetary color rendition is made possible due to the fully multi-coated 2-element objective with stunning apochromatic performance. Eliminating internal reflections and providing high transmission is made possible with the multicoated air-to-glass surfaces on the TV85. Also suppressing reflections and helping deliver high-contrast images are the textured, flat-black surfaces in the tube. The TeleVue TV85 delivers at incredibly low powers as well as when pushing the envelope for theoretical magnification limits of 225X. In either case, the TV85 will take your breath away.
Not only is the TeleVue TV85 superb for celestial observation but it is great during daylight hours when observing wildlife or terrestrial objects. With its small size and light weight, the TV85 can be used with a lighter-duty tripod for easy carry and use on the go. The included padded shoulder bag protects your scope and up to six eyepieces when in transit or stored away.
When making a serious scope investment, the TeleVue TV85 APO is a superb choice if you are looking for top performance and a scope that features lasting qualities. Not only is the TV85 a work of art, but it is also mechanically designed with brilliance. Designed with a brass, non-marring clamp ring, the 2" rack and pinion focuser with 10:1 micro focuser holds your accessories securely in place without marring the barrel of your prized optics. The focuser on the TV85 glides cleanly and smoothly with just enough tension to keep from making corrections too quickly however it is loose enough to keep from feeling stiff in cold weather.
